Know 6 types of animals
Talk about some animals endangered or extinct
Be aware of the importance and significance of living in harmony with nature
Procedure:
Task 1 About the Spring Festival
Find out about your partners’ spring festival
Where have you been?
Have you seen anything interesting?
What did you do?
What has been your favorite part?
Task 2 Preserving animals
1. What are the six types of animals?
Can you name some of them? (Show pictures)
2. Endangered or extinct
1) Look at the pictures of the following animals.
Are they endangered or extinct or …?
Why do they become extinct or endangered?
2) Which do you think is the worst? And which one is not that bad? Why?
Get Ss to debate and T list the key words on the Bb
After that, T shows a video and asks: What does the video wants to say?
(Nature doesn’t need human. Human needs nature.)
3. Five animals you choose to die.
T introduces the present situation they are in now and get Ss to decide: Which one do you choose to save and which one do you prefer to die and why.
T lists the answers on the Bb.
T shows a video which is to highlight the issues or problems of poaching.
